Student Organizations

Our students have plenty of opportunity to expand their knowledge and leadership qualities with our College student organizations. Check out the different options to supplement your education!

Student Government Association

The Student Government Association is made up of all students enrolled in the college. The organization’s focus is to promote personal and professional development and to serve as an avenue for student input into the programs and policies of the college.

Junior Class Organization

The Junior Class Organization organizes and holds meetings, as necessary, to carry out class functions. Officers consist of a president, vice president, secretary and treasurer. A major focus of the this organization is the transition from student to graduate.

Senior Class Organization

The Senior Class Organization organizes and holds meetings, as necessary, to carry out class functions. A major focus of the this organization is the transition from student to graduate. Officers consist of a president, vice president, secretary and treasurer.

National Student Nurses Association

The National Student Nurses Association mentors the professional development of future registered nurses and facilitates their entrance into the profession by providing educational resources, leadership opportunities and career guidance.

Sigma Theta Tau International

Sigma Theta Tau International seeks to advance world health and celebrate nursing excellence in scholarship, leadership and service. Membership is by invitation only.

Membership qualifications include:
Undergraduates: Junior or senior students enrolled in baccalaureate programs at accredited institutions of higher education who have completed at least 1/2 of the nursing curriculum, rank in the upper 35 percent of their graduating class and have achieved academic excellence. (This equates to at least a 3.0 at schools where a 4.0 grade point average system is used.)

Graduate students: Master's and doctoral students enrolled in graduate programs at accredited institutions of higher education who have completed at least 1/4 of the nursing curriculum, have achieved academic excellence (This equates to at least a 3.5 at schools where a 4.0 grade point average system is used.)
