Star Lighting ceremony set for Dec. 5

HSHS St. Mary’s Foundation is set to host its annual Star Lighting Ceremony at 6 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 5. Community members are invited to honor or memorialize a loved one by purchasing a light on the hospital’s star with each light symbolizing a meaningful tribute.

“This event is truly a heartwarming tradition for so many of us,” said St. Mary’s Foundation Leader Julie Moore. “The Star Lighting ceremony provides a beautiful way to honor loved ones, and it reminds us of the light and hope that can be found during the holiday season.”
Proceeds from this event benefit the hospital’s modernization project. To ensure your loved one’s name is included in the tribute list, please make your gift by Nov. 25.
Everyone who purchases a light on the star is invited to attend the Star Lighting ceremony featuring holiday music, prayer, and a moment of reflection, to celebrate the lives of those who are special to the Decatur community.
