ATTENTION PATIENTS AND VISITORS

During respiratory illness season, we are implementing the following visitor guidelines across our HSHS Illinois and Wisconsin hospitals as a precautionary measure for the safety of our colleagues, patients and visitors:

DO NOT visit hospital patients if you:

  • Have a cold or any flu-like symptoms including fever, chills, sore throat, body or muscle aches, headache, cough or runny nose.
  • Are under age 18 years of age.

A limit of only two people are allowed to visit a patient at any one time.

Soap and water or hand sanitizers are the most effective ways to prevent respiratory illness transmission and should be used when entering and exiting patient rooms.
