Touch a Truck School Supply drive set for June 20
June 14, 2024
HSHS St. John’s Children’s Hospital will be hosting a Touch a Truck Back-to-School Supply Drive on Thursday, June 20 at 10 a.m.
Pediatric patients at St. John’s Children’s Hospital and members of the community will have the opportunity to see emergency vehicles up close. Other activities include temporary tattoos, bubble machines, fun photo opportunities, and a brief media presentation at 10 a.m. by participating partners.
In case of rain, members of the public will still be given the opportunity to meet local police, firemen, and first responders in the Tea Room located in the lobby of HSHS St. John’s Children’s Hospital.
“Members of the community can bring donations to the event if you are not able to stop by the drop off locations through June 16, or you can place an order through our Amazon Wish List to be delivered to the hospital,” said Emily Enstrom, RN, BSN, MS, TNS, Nurse Manager of Pediatrics and Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU). “The donations raised during this event will benefit selected schools in District 186. We are excited by the opportunity to provide local students with needed school supplies and are thankful to all who donate.”
