HSHS Medical Group Multispecialty Care - Effingham is pleased to welcome Dr. Thomas A. Ambrose II, orthopedics, to their team. Dr. Ambrose is now scheduling patients of all ages at HSHS Medical Group Multispecialty Care at 900 W. Temple Ave., Bldg. B., Suite 2500, in Effingham.
As a highly skilled orthopedist with more than 20 years of expertise in chronic musculoskeletal disorders, Dr. Ambrose believes in personally advocating for his patients. He takes a personal approach to assisting patients' progress and recovering functional abilities. His expertise includes knee replacement, arthritis, hip replacement, joint pain and other general orthopedic areas.
Dr. Ambrose received his medical degree from Ohio State University of Medicine in Columbus, Ohio, and a Bachelor of Arts in biology from the University of California Los Angeles in Los Angeles, California. He completed an orthopedic surgical residency at Ohio State University Hospital in Columbus, Ohio; a pediatric orthopedic fellowship at the Children's Hospital in Denver, Colorado; and an orthopedic trauma fellowship at the AO/ASIF Group in Germany, Switzerland and Los Angeles.
