Blessing Box receives generous donation

Employees at Monical’s Pizza of Shelbyville donated tips, groceries, as well as their own money when they saw a need to help fill the Blessing Box at HSHS Good Shepherd Hospital.
The Good Shepherd Hospital Blessing Box is located on the south side of the hospital and is filled with non-perishable food and pantry items available for any one in need to access.
“The Blessing Box is really a way can give back to our community and these tangible items offer immediate, one to one assistance to anyone who may need it,” said Lorrie Hayden, coordinator of mission integration at Good Shepherd Hospital. “Thanksgiving is a time of thanks and a time to be grateful for those around us, and we are incredibly grateful for Monical’s generosity.”
In total, Monical’s gifted more than $500 worth of items to fill the Blessing Box and help feed our community. Their donation was made in memory of Sheila Reed, a relative of one of their employees.
