Meet the #1 picks at HSHS St. Vincent Children’s Hospital’s NICU

Future MVPs in the making are all first-round picks

GREEN BAY, Wis. – HSHS St. Vincent Children’s Hospital in Green Bay is excited to announce that after careful consideration, a thorough weighing of the pros and cons, and consultations with experts in their respective fields, the newborn intensive care unit (NICU) team has cast their ballots and are ready to introduce Green Bay to their #1 picks in the NICU – each and every baby under their care!

As football fans from across the country congregate in Northeast Wisconsin next week, HSHS St. Vincent Children’s Hospital’s NICU babies have been dressed up in football apparel and are showing their team spirit. In an effort to be a part of the atmosphere and join in on the fun that is taking place in Green Bay, infants in the NICU were dressed in custom football bibs and socks and posed for a handful of memorable photos.

“For families that have a baby being cared for in our NICU, especially for extended periods of time, it can feel like they’re missing out on a lot of moments while they’re at the hospital,” said Jim Burke, HSHS St. Vincent Children’s Hospital NICU Manager. “By doing photo shoots like this, we help create some positive and fun memories for our NICU families. It’s important to my team to not only offer expert care for these precious babies, but also to help lift the spirits of our moms and dads.” 

As the first to introduce a Level III NICU in the Green Bay region and remaining one of the few in Northeast Wisconsin, HSHS St. Vincent Children’s Hospital has been a beacon of hope for the most vulnerable babies in the community. For more than 50 years, the NICU has grown to become the largest in the region, with 26 beds dedicated to providing highly specialized care.
