HSHS St. Nicholas Hospital

Who We Are
HSHS St. Nicholas Hospital is a licensed 185-bed nonprofit community hospital and a part of Hospital Sisters Health System (HSHS). We have been part of the Sheboygan community since 1890. In 1976, we broke ground on a new facility and moved to our current location in 1979. Since then, our campus has continued to grow through a partnership with Prevea Health, which helped allow us to expand our medical service offerings.

Our Highlights
We continue to grow and expanded our medical services to provide more options for inpatient, outpatient and transitional care in Sheboygan County, including:
  • 24/7 care for medical emergencies and severe illnesses.
  • Telestroke medicine utilizing state-of-the art technology that allows for faster, improved care for stroke patients.
  • Our partnership with Prevea Health allows us to offer a full range of medical specialties such as cardiology, digestive health, endocrinology, neurology, orthopedics, ENT, urology and many more.
  • Telemedicine program in our emergency department for real-time trauma evaluations and specialized assessments for patients, including telestroke for immediate, hands-on care when a patient presents with stroke symptoms.
  • Women and Infants Center includes spacious birthing rooms where our nursing staff provide round-the-clock care in coordination with Prevea obstetricians and certified-nurse-midwives.
