Community Benefit

HSHS believes in giving back to the communities we serve. We support programs and projects that are consistent with our community benefit mission.

Community benefit serves to improve access to health services, enhance public health, advance increased general knowledge and relieve the burden of government to improve health.

Funding preference is given to programs/initiatives that address local priorities identified through the Community Health Needs Assessment process.

For HSHS St. Nicholas Hospital, these include:

  • Mental health
  • Obesity/nutrition
  • Alcohol and drug use/abuse (AODA)

Requests for support may be – but do not need to be – monetary in nature. All requests should be submitted via the online application.

NOTE:  All funding recipients MUST possess non-profit status at the time of the request. Once a request has been submitted, we may contact you for additional information.

Please submit your request 60 days prior to the event/program start (as applicable). Due to the number of applications we receive, HSHS cannot fulfill all funding requests. A representative of HSHS St. Nicholas Hospital will notify you once a decision has been made.
