New MRI technology recently installed

In alignment with HSHS St. Mary’s Hospital’s goal to strengthen service lines, the hospital recently installed a state-of-the-art MRI scanner, the Siemens Magnetom Sola 1.5T with BioMatrix patient personalization technology. This new, nearly $1.5 million MRI system provides precise, personalized service with exceptional speed, diagnostic accuracy and patient comfort.
The system’s BioMatrix technology addresses patients’ anatomical and physiological differences to help healthcare providers quickly perform a full range of routine and complex examinations while delivering consistent results for each patient.
“Our patients value their time, and we try to use their time efficiently,” said Lisa Konieczny, manager of radiology at St. Mary’s Hospital. “This new MRI provides us with higher quality images, leading to less time scanning patients, fewer callbacks and an overall better patient experience.”
St. Mary’s continues to add new technology to the radiology department with the addition of a new CT scanner as well as two new x-ray machines in their renovated space.
