Partners of HSHS St. Mary’s Hospital (volunteers) provide vital services at St. Mary’s that add to the comfort of patients and their families. The support provided by the Partners is invaluable. Partners can volunteer as little as four hours a week. We invite you to join our team and help in the following ways:
Helping transport patients by wheelchair
Assisting Visitors with directions
Light office work
Assisting customers in our Gift Shop
Assisting patients and visitors at our Information Desk
Greeting patients and families

History of Partners of HSHS St. Mary’s Hospital
In May 1954, St. Mary’s Auxiliary was formed, its purpose “to assist in the hospital care of the physically, spiritually and mentally sick.” Over the years, Auxiliary contributions have exceeded $2.5 million, providing television sets for all patient rooms, an organ for the Chapel, a communications system, treadmills for Rehabilitation Services, a lift for the whirlpool therapy room and many pieces of hospital equipment.
In 2021, the Auxiliary and Volunteers joined together to form “Partners of HSHS St. Mary’s Hospital.” We are blessed to have so many loyal Partners who serve at our health care ministry. Their contributions of time and talent fulfill many hospital needs and add another touch of care and compassion to the people we serve.
