Drive-Thru Health Fair Set for April 29 and 30

HSHS St. Joseph’s Hospital Highland will be hosting a drive-thru health fair on Tuesday, April 29 and Wednesday, April 30 at the Highland-Pierron Fire Department, 12611 Iberg Rd., Highland.
 
Those wanting to attend must preregister for an appointment online through MyHSHS, powered by MyChart, a free online personal health record that you can access securely from your home computer, laptop or mobile device.
 
Registration will remain open until April 27 or until all appointments are filled.
 
Participants can elect to receive the following screenings at the listed prices:
  • Comprehensive Blood Screenings ($45)
    • A 10-hour fast required – drinking water only; no gum, hard candy, sugar or sweeteners.
  • Prostate-Specific Antigen (PSA) Screenings ($15)
  • Hemoglobin A1C ($10)
  • Vitamin D Screening ($15)
 
There are limited spots available and on-site registration for testing will not be accepted.
 
It is free and easy to create a MyHSHS account:
  • Go to www.myhshs.org.
  • Login or create a MyHSHS account by clicking “Sign Up Now.” Be sure to use your full proper name that matches your HSHS medical record.

When you log in to your MyHSHS account, follow these steps to access the registration for HSHS St. Joseph’s Hospital Highland’s Health Fair:
  • Click Menu (top bar, far left)
  • Under Find Care section at the top of the dropdown menu, click on Health Fair.
  • Click on the Southern Illinois Health Fair.
  • Under SJH Health Fair, select desired time.
  • During registration, if asked to bill insurance. select “no.”
The health fair is a self-pay service. Payment is due the day of the health fair by check written out to HSHS or exact cash for scheduled services.
 
St. Joseph’s Hospital will not bill insurance plans for any services rendered. You may submit your health fair receipt to your insurance plan, but St. Joseph’s Hospital will not be able to provide an insurance claim.
 
HSHS St. Joseph’s Hospital will post results to attendees’ MyHSHS accounts. No test results will be mailed or faxed to a participant’s health care provider. The responsibility for initiating follow-up examinations for abnormalities identified at the health fair lies with the person responsible for their own health and not with any participating organization.
