Total Joint Class

If surgery is the best treatment option, you can count on us. The total joint class at HSHS St. John's Hospital provides you with a unique hip or knee replacement surgical experience. As you enter the surgical process, one of our total joint coordinators will support you every step of the way. From pre-surgical appointments and day of surgery to follow-up care and rehabilitation, you can count on us for a smooth and informative process with a speedy recovery.

Why the class is important

The total joint class provides patients with coordinated care, convenient appointments, a multi-disciplinary care team, patient educational binder, and a small group education class. The free, small group educational class helps patients prepare for surgery and provides information about the hospital stay, pain management, mobility and anesthesia options, planning for discharge and post-operation therapy needs, and home preparation.
