Foundation to Host Elvis-themed Gala

January 16, 2025

HSHS St. John’s Foundation invites the local community to get “all shook up” for an Elvis-themed Miraculé gala benefiting HSHS St. John’s Children’s Hospital, beginning at 5 p.m. on Sat., Feb. 1 at the Crowne Plaza in Springfield.

Taking its name from the French word for miracle, the event will feature John “Elvis” Lyons, a Midwest-based impersonator of the legendary singer. Lyons’ wife accompanies him as a vocalist, while their son enacts a young Elvis or Johnny Cash. Later, the Springfield-based cover band Kapital Sound will perform its repertoire of R&B and soul music.

“Our Miraculé gala features a giving spirit with a twist of fun,” said Brandy Grove, System Director, Hospital Sisters of St. Francis Foundation. “We invite everyone to join us in support of the only children’s hospital in Springfield, which provides care to 40,000 youngsters each year. Come warm your hearts on a winter night for the kids!”

Tickets for the event are $200 per person and may be purchased here. Attire is semi-formal, and a full bar will be available.
