As your baby grows, they will naturally want to explore their world. You always need to stay one step ahead of your child.
Topics include but not limited to:
One support person may attend with you. This is an in-person class. Registration is required. All instructors are registered nurses. The class is free. You will be contacted via email the week prior to the class date for confirmation on attending and the specific class location. All classes are held at St. John’s Hospital. Please enter through the lobby. Parking is available in the ramp at 9th & Carpenter Street. Please stop at the information desk and they will assist with directions to the class location.
Topics include but not limited to:
- Childproofing such as using gates around staircases.
- Safety zone around a crib.
- Hot car safety.
- Front overs and back overs prevention with large vehicles such as SUVs and pickup trucks.
- Choking hazards.
- Some basic CPR and choking first aid will be taught (this is not a CPR or first aid certification course).
