Infant and Child Safety Class coming July 11

July 02, 2024

HSHS St. John’s Children’s Hospital is now offering an Infant and Child Safety Class. This class will educate parents of the importance of childproofing their home, as well as crib, car and toy safety for infants and toddlers.

“The early stages of your child’s life are an exciting, yet stressful time; they’re learning to crawl and walk, picking up items and exploring their environments,” said Jennifer Beauchamp, RN, BSN, CLC, CPST, Patient and Community Educator at HSHS St. John’s Hospital. “It is important that parents understand the value of childproofing their home and all of the situations a child can find themselves in. We invite mothers and their support person to attend an Infant and Child Safety Class to gain a better understanding of what they can do to minimize the accidents in their home and car for their child.”

The Infant and Child Safety Class is an in-person, two-hour class offered every other month. The first class is Thursday, July 11 from 6 to 8 p.m. at St. John’s Hospital.
