Colorectal Cancer Screening

Wednesday, March 26 | 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Preventing colorectal cancer is possible through regular screenings.

Members of the community are welcome to pick up a FIT Kit at-home test at no cost (while supplies last). Process instructions will be given at pickup.

How the test kits work

• People aged 45 or older or a person with a first-degree relative who had a colon cancer diagnosis are eligible for a free kit.

The FIT Kit at-home screening test includes full instructions for an easy, water-based sampling for specimen collection.

To receive results, patients must return the sample to the HSHS St. Francis Hospital by April 4 during normal office hours Monday-Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. St. Francis’ laboratory will analyze, and results will be reviewed by a physician, then provided to each participant and their primary care provider.
