Meet Me at the Finish Line

Open to athletes 18 and under, this adaptive try-athlon is a fun and challenging event for kids who are overcoming physical challenges.

Join us for this inclusive experience that is sure to bring you joy! Meet Me At The Finish Line is an event open to all of our young athletes around the community that have mobility deficits or for children who are not afforded the opportunity to participate in community events due to physical, social, or emotional barriers. This try-athlon is designed to allow kids the opportunity to push themselves to the limit and inspire self-confidence in mobility while creating memories that will hopefully last a lifetime. 

Each athlete will swim, bike and run in this three-event race that not only promotes fitness, but improves self-confidence as participants cross the finish line on their own.

Details:

• Check-in for the first heat is at 8:45 a.m.; first heat starts at 9 a.m.
• Check-in for each successive heat will be 30 minutes prior to the scheduled heat time.
• At 8:50 a.m. there will be an opening prayer.
• There will be six heats in all, kicking off every half hour.
• Each participant will have a buddy by their side for every splash, pedal and step of the way.

Family and friends are invited to cheer on our participants. Community members are encouraged to come out to the event to cher on the athletes and make the event extra special. Signs and noisemakers will be available or you can bring your own. Light snacks will be available courtesy of HSHS St. Anthony's Memorial Hospital.

Limit of 36 participants.

Adaptive equipment and bikes available so all can participate.
