Libertas is here to serve young adults with compassion and support for families. At Libertas, adolescent recovery begins with a comprehensive assessment process with a licensed substance abuse counselor:

  • Parent interview
  • Adolescent interview
  • Drug screening
  • Psychosocial history intake

From that assessment, the appropriate level of care for each individual is determined.

    • Individual Counseling

Adolescent Outpatient Program

Typically, after completing intensive outpatient treatment, Libertas recommends the adolescent participate in continuing care, a program designed to enhance an individual’s road to maintained recovery. This is an informal, less intense program with individual and monthly family sessions. The number of weeks is based on individual and family needs.
Adolescent outpatient treatment is available in Green Bay and Marinette. Outpatient means the patient is able to resume daily activities and take ownership of his or her recovery. Libertas offers three approaches to outpatient treatment:

Individual Counseling
Individual counseling is a one-on-one session with a Libertas counselor, designed for people who are not comfortable in a group setting and who may benefit from a more private setting.

Intensive Outpatient Program
If the assessment shows the adolescent would benefit from a higher level of care, Libertas has an intensive outpatient treatment program with sessions offered after school for 2 hours a day, 4 days a week. The number of weeks is based on individual need, and evening sessions are available. This program is medically and evidenced-based and includes:
  • Group therapy
  • Substance use disorder education
  • Weekly family participation sessions
  • Weekly drug screens
