Prairie Cardiovascular is pleased to welcome Alyssa McMillen, FNP-C, to their team in Carbondale. McMillen is scheduling patients at Prairie Cardiovascular – Carbondale, located at 409 W. Oak St., Carbondale.
McMillen was drawn to cardiology early in her nursing career after encountering patients with heart conditions, sparking her eagerness to learn more about the field. She enjoys working with patients at various stages of their health journey, helping them improve their quality of life, preventing future complications and saving lives.
McMillen received her Master of Science in nursing from Frontier Nursing University in Versailles, Kentucky. She also graduated with a Bachelor of Science in nursing from Southern Illinois University Edwardsville, in Edwardsville.
