Safe drug disposal box

HSHS Good Shepherd Hospital is now a Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) registered Drug Take Back site, providing community members with a free and safe way to dispose of unused or expired prescription and nonprescription medicines.
The Drug Take Back box is located in the front Emergency Room entrance of Good Shepherd Hospital at 201 S. Pine St., Shelbyville. The ER is open 24/7.
Before disposing of prescription medicines, be sure to remove all personal information on pill bottle labels and medicine packings. All medicine dropped off at the lime green Drug Take Back box will be destroyed.
