Bukowski Named HSHS Vice President of Revenue Cycle

HSHS Vice President of Revenue CycleSPRINGFIELD, IL – Hospital Sisters Health System (HSHS) today announced that Catherine M. Bukowski has accepted an invitation to serve as their vice president of revenue cycle. Bukowski will begin at HSHS on Monday, February 15, 2016. She most recently was the vice president of revenue cycle at Ministry Health Care – a health care system comprised of 13 hospitals and 51 multi-specialty clinics based in Wisconsin.

As vice president of revenue cycle at Ministry Health Care, Bukowski was responsible for the development, implementation and on-going operations of the Systems’ departments of Patient Access, Health Information Management, Revenue Integrity and Patient Financial Services.

“In her new role Catherine will lead our system-wide revenue cycle operations,” said Mary Starmann-Harrison, Hospital Sisters Health System President and CEO. “We welcome her to HSHS and look forward to utilizing her extensive background and more than 15 years of health care leadership experience.”

Prior to her role as vice president at Ministry Health Care, Bukowski served as the Northern Region Chief Financial Officer and Local Chief Financial Officer at Ministry Health Care, the Chief Financial Officer at Osceola Medical Center, the Internal Auditor at Children’s Health System, the Controller at Family Health Systems, and the Audit Manager at KPMG Peat Marwick.

“Catherine’s extraordinary fiscal and auditing knowledge and application in health care will serve HSHS financial operations very well,” said Mike Cottrell, Hospital Sisters Health System Chief Financial Officer. “Her history of implementing innovative practices system-wide will complement and advance our long-standing commitment to high-quality care in all our healing ministries.”
