Recognition and Awards
Recognition
We provide many avenues to recognize our nurses. Both the Daisy and Bee Awardsare awarded quarterly.
At St. Elizabeth's, we truly believe that the quality of care given by our nursing staff is deserving of recognition. We have several avenues to recognize the ongoing dedication of our nursing colleagues at all levels including from your peers, from hospital leadership, and even recognition at a national level.
Daisy Award

The Daisy Award provides an opportunity for St. Elizabeth's nurses to receive national recognition in excellent patient care. The program was started in 1999 by a family who was touched by excellent patient care. This award is given 4 times per year at St. Elizabeth's. To receive this recognition, nurses must be nominated by a patient that they have cared for.
Bee Award
The Bee Award was established to recognize the colleagues who go beyond expectations. Those eligible for the Bee Award include all hospital employees outside of nursing. This special honor is celebrated quarterly.
“I Promise” Award
This is an inclusive recognition program to honor colleagues from all over the hospital, non-clinical and clinical, who exhibit behaviors related to our “I Promise” service standards, Core Values and Mission. The first “I Promise” Award recipients will be named during Colleague Recognition Week in May.
Nurse Leader of the Month
Leaders that have gone above and beyond by taking on new projects, excelling in patient experience and quality measures and representing our mission and values are recognized monthly by our Chief Nursing Officer.
MD of the Month
Each month the nursing leadership council reviews nominations for MD of the month from nursing staff. The council chooses the awardee and presents the award in the department.
CNO Quarterly Superstar Breakfast
